Investigation Concluded Concerning Suicide Death Of Primghar Teen
Date posted - June 15, 2012
The O’Brien County Sheriff and the O’Brien County Attorney’s Office have concluded their investigation in to the circumstances surrounding and pre-dating the suicide death of 14-year-old Kenneth James Weishuhn of Primghar.
After Weishuhn’s death, reports began to surface stating that bullying by his peers may have led to his decision to take his own life. O’Brien County Attorney Micah Schreurs states that in his professional opinion, there is not sufficient evidence to prosecute any specific individuals for any specific criminal acts against Weishuhn.
Both Schreurs and Sheriff Michael Anderson express their appreciation to the family for their cooperation and assistance with the investigation and again extend their condolences to the family and friends of Weishuhn for their loss.
