Ireton Teen Transported To Sioux City Hospital After Friday Accident

Ambulance front generic actually SCAT 2Ireton, Iowa — An Ireton teen was transported to a Sioux City hospital after an accident on Friday near Ireton.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 11:20 AM on Friday, 18-year-old Agustin Jimenez of Ireton was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger pickup westbound on 470th Street, three miles west of Ireton. Jimenez lost control of the vehicle, which entered the north ditch and rolled. Jimenez was ejected from the vehicle.

Jimenez was transported to the Hawarden Hospital by the Hawarden ambulance. He was later transported to Mercy Hospital in Sioux City by the Hawarden ambulance.

The Ford sustained approximately $2,500 in damages.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hawarden Police Department, Hawarden Fire Department and Hawarden Ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation.
