Ireton Woman Arrested After Accident

Ireton, Iowa — An Ireton woman was arrested after an accident near Ireton early on Saturday (10/13).

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 2:30 AM, 31-year-old Megan Pies of Ireton was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe westbound on 500th Street, three miles south of Ireton.

As Pies attempted to turn right onto Eagle Avenue, she lost control of the vehicle, which rolled into the east ditch.

No injuries were reported.

The Tahoe sustained about $8,000 in damage.

Upon further investigation, Pies was arrested for operating while intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor, driving while license suspended, and failure to maintain control, both simple misdemeanors.
