Jager To Test For 9th Degree Black Belt Friday

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man who has advanced to the level of Chief Master, 8th Degree Black Belt in the American TaeKwonDo Association, or ATA, will test Friday morning (July 13th) to try and become one of the few people in the world to achieve the 9th Degree Black Belt rank.

Bob Jager has been studying, and teaching, Taekwondo for more than 3-decades, and is scheduled to test for the presitigious 9th Degree Black Belt rank Friday during the ATA World Expo, which is going on through Sunday, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Chief Master Jager’s daughter, Jodi VerMeer, tells KIWA that testing begins at 7:00 Friday morning, and begins with the lowest ranks first. She says she estimates her dad will go through his 9th Degree testing sometime around mid to late morning on Friday.

VerMeer says her dad probably won’t know if he has successfully advanced to 9th Degree for a week or two after Friday’s testing.

KIWA extends our congratulations and best wishes to Chief Master Jager as he prepares for Friday’s 9th Degree Black Belt testing at the ATA World Expo.
