UPDATED WITH VIDEO: Jager’s 9th Degree Black Belt Testing Results Are Back

Sheldon, Iowa — Earlier this month a Sheldon man tested for his 9th Degree Black Belt rank at the ATA World Expo held in Little Rock, Arkansas. KIWA invited Chief Master Bob Jager to come to the studios and let us know when he got the official word about the outcome of that testing.

Chief Master Jager visited the KIWA Studios Tuesday afternoon, and told us about the phone call he had received earlier in the day.

Earning the 9th Degree Black Belt rank is an unusual accomplishment.

Chief Master Jager talked about what he’ll be doing over the next year.

Jager told us that he was one of four individuals who tested for a 9th Degree Black Belt at this summer’s World Expo. The other three individuals, who Jager says he believes all achieved 9th Degree, consisted of one person from Korea, one from South America, and one from Pennsylvania.

Chief Master Jager’s daughter, Jodi VerMeer, provided KIWA with the video below, which shows an exhibition by Chief Master Jager at Sheldon High School in 1984, as well as his testing for the 9th Degree Black Belt Rank this July at the ATA World Expo in Little Rock, Arkansas:
