Kurtz: Farmers, Remember To Mark ALL Implements This Harvest Season

Kurtz, Vincent 495 Clarinda, IANorthwest Iowa — Much has been said in recent days about harvest season traffic safety for motorists, but on Tuesday’s KIWA Morning Show the topic was harvest traffic safety for farmers.

Iowa State Patrol Trooper Vince Kurtz joined the Morning Show Crew and reminded farmers of the marking requirements for their implements this harvest season.

Kurtz says tractors, and combines are not the only implements that must be marked.

He also reminded implement operators about yielding half the roadway.

As for motorists, Trooper Kurtz reminds us that regardless if you’re behind a slow moving implement, a no-passing zone still means no passing!

Trooper Vince Kurtz guests on the KIWA Morning Show the first Tuesday of each month to discuss traffic safety topics, and take questions from the audience.
