Larchwood Woman Taken To Hospital After Accident Near State Line

lyonsheriffLarchwood, Iowa — A Larchwood woman was taken to the hospital after an accident near Inwood on Wednesday (1/16).

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:30 AM, 34-year-old Rebecca Roemen of Larchwood was westbound in a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, five miles west of Inwood near the Big Sioux River, when she lost control due to frost on the roadway.

The minivan entered the north ditch and struck a tree.

Roemen was transported to a hospital via private vehicle.

The accident caused about $5,000 in damage to the minivan.
