Larchwood Woman Taken To Hospital After Alvord Accident

Lyon County Sheriff Car Door 60-8Alvord, Iowa — A Larchwood woman was taken to the hospital after an accident near Alvord on Tuesday, December 3rd.

The Lyon Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:05 AM, 31-year-old Angela Koch of Larchwood was eastbound on A34, about three miles east of Alvord, when she lost control of her 2002 GMC Envoy on the ice. The SUV slid into the north ditch and struck the field drive. It slid over the field drive and came to rest against the fence, in the north ditch.

Koch was transported by personal vehicle to Sanford Rock Rapids Hospital.

Damage to the Envoy was about $4000.
