Northwest Iowa — Area law enforcement officers will be out in force this weekend to help keep the roads safe during this St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper Vince Kurtz says that between the St. Patrick’s Day holiday and the NCAA Tournament, this will be a party weekend.
Trooper Kurtz says the best course of action for party goers is to have a plan BEFORE the party starts.
He also advises party hosts to look out for their guests.
Trooper Kurtz says the Iowa State Patrol, along with your county sheriff’s office, and local police departments will have officers out looking for impaired drivers this weekend. So plan ahead, make good choices, and enjoy the weekend safely.
