Le Mars Man Behind Bars, Accused Of Sexual Assault In George Home

Jail Door2George, Iowa — A Le Mars man is behind bars in Rock Rapids after authorities allege he sexually assaulted a George woman.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says that on Saturday (10/12/13), they were called to a report of a sexual assault that had taken place in George. The victim reported that a man had sexually assaulted her while she was in her home.

Deputies determined that 35-year-old Joseph Albert of Le Mars, had allegedly committed the act.

Albert was subsequently arrested and charged with Sexual Assault in the third degree, a Class C Felony.

Albert is currently being held in the Lyon County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
