Ames, Iowa — The City of Le Mars will have to return part of a grant the city got for road work because Wells Dairy was not able to create and retain enough jobs.
The Iowa Transportation Commission approved a settlement with the city of Le Mars Tuesday for the state grant. The D-O-T’s Craig Markley talked about the original agreement.
He says the number of promised jobs fell short.
The commission unanimously approved the settlement.
