Linn Grove Home Destroyed By Fire: Four Fire Departments Fight Blaze

Fire LightbarLinn Grove, Iowa — A Linn Grove home was destroyed by fire on Sunday (12/23), and four fire departments were called to fight the blaze.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office reports their communications center received a report of a house fire at 203 West High Street in Linn Grove. The Linn Grove Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with the Sioux Rapids Fire Department and the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental in nature and started in the upstairs of the home. The Peterson Fire Department and the Marathon Fire Department responded to the scene for Mutual Aid Assistance. The home was evacuated and no injuries were reported. The home is considered to be a total loss.
