Little Rock Man Admits He Was Driving Car In An Accident West Of Rock Rapids

Sheriff car rear genericRock Rapids, Iowa — A Little Rock man has admitted to driving a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run accident that occurred on Sunday February 10th, two miles west of Rock Rapids.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 21-year-old Kory Klaassen of Little Rock has identified himself as the driver of the vehicle that was traveling east on Highway 9 around 4:00 PM, when it entered the south ditch and went through a field fence. The vehicle then continued to travel through the field and exited back onto Highway 9 using a farm drive.

The fence, owned by Jerry Caswell of Rock Rapids received about $75 in damages.

The vehicle Klaassen was driving was a 1994 Ford Mustang owned by 15-year-old Samuel Delfs of Rock Rapids.

Klaassen was ticketed for failure to maintain control, a simple misdemeanor.
