Little Rock Man Dies In Accident Near Emmetsburg

Emmetsburg, Iowa — A Little Rock man has died as the result of an accident on Monday (12/3) near Emmetsburg.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that about 6:05 AM, 64-year-old David Ruehle of Graettinger was southbound on Highway 4, one mile south of Emmetsburg in a 1999 Volvo semi.

Fifty-two-year-old Steven Rosenboom of Little Rock pulled out from the stop sign at 390th Street and Highway 4 in a 2001 Freightliner semi. The Ruehle semi struck the Rosenboom semi, which burst into flames.

Rosenboom died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Palo Alto County Ambulance squad, Emmetsburg Fire and Rescue, and the Emmetsburg Police assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.

Funeral arrangements for Rosenboom are pending with the Jurrens Funeral Home of Little Rock.
