Luverne, Minnesota Man Dies In Propane Truck Rollover

fatal ambulance IILuverne, Minnesota — A Luverne, Minnesota man has died in a truck rollover accident near Luverne.

The Rock County, Minnesota Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, they were alerted about a rollover crash on 110th Avenue, a half mile south of County Road 8. That’s about two miles northwest of Luverne.

Deputies, the Rock County Ambulance, Luverne Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol responded.

Deputies have determined that 59-year-old Dale Pick of Luverne was northbound on 110th Avenue, when he drove through a snow drift on the gravel road, causing him to lose control of the propane delivery truck he was driving. The truck rolled several times, causing him to be ejected from the truck.

Pick was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies determined he had not been wearing his seatbelt.

They say it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, but tests were taken to verify.

The propane truck was owned by Eastern Farmers Union of Brandon, South Dakota.
