Lyon County Deputies Bust Doon Party, Arrest Four

beer alcohol boozeDoon, Iowa — Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies broke up a Doon party early on Saturday (3/30) and arrested four people on alcohol violations.

About 2 AM, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office along with the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office got a tip of a large party in Doon. As officers arrived at the home on South Fourth Street in Doon, they noticed young people running away from the home.

Officers pursued several of them, running south. After a short foot pursuit three subjects were apprehended.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Morgan Groeneweg, 19-year-old Brittany Laman, and 20-year-old Devin Groeneweg, all of Rock Valley and charged them all with interference with official acts and minor in possession.

The home owner, 22-year-old Chad VandenTop of Doon was charged with supplying alcohol to a minor.

All four subjects were transported to the Lyon County Jail.
