Des Moines, Iowa — The director of the Lyon County Department of Veterans’ Affairs was in Des Moines this past week for “Veteran’s Day at the Iowa State Capitol.”
Jared Ageson, Director of the Lyon County Veterans Affairs office tells us about his trip to Des Moines.
He tells us about the allocation fund.
Ageson says Governor Kim Reynolds had released her recommended budget and the line item for Veterans Affairs Offices had been lowered.
Ageson, who is also a veteran himself, says he advocates for veterans every day so they get the benefits they so duly deserve. He says if Lyon County veterans need anything, give him a call, that’s why he’s there.
