Maintainer Corporation To Break Ground Tuesday On $1.25 to $1.5 Million Expansion Project

Sheldon, Iowa — Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc. is breaking ground today, July 15th, on a project that will expand the production capacity at its Sheldon manufacturing plant. maintainer plant

Maintainer’s administration says the plant addition will increase factory space by 30%; will cost over a million dollars to build, and will mean at least 15 new jobs.

The expansion, which is expected to be fully completed by Spring 2015, will add 17,750 square feet to the existing manufacturing facility. Maintainer also plans to add 3,000 square feet to its office space.

Maintainer General Manager Shelley Morris says that interest in Maintainer truck bodies continues to grow. He says the company needs to increase capacity as soon as possible, and this expansion will give them the space to make that happen. He says it also allows them to upgrade their technology to help their employees work more efficiently and safely.

The groundbreaking ceremony with local dignitaries will take place at 9 AM.
