Under Michels’ leadership, Maintainer has grown from a handful of employees to more than 180 today. Michels’ dedication to quality and customer satisfaction has helped make Maintainer the industry leader in custom, long-lasting, high-value truck bodies. He also led the acquisition and merger of the current Maintainer facility in Rock Rapids, which produces Maintainer Custom Bodies (MCB) emergency vehicles.

Michels said, “I’m extremely proud of our Maintainer team. Our products, service and people all reflect our commitment to the customer and our values. We’re customer-centric, and the glue that holds this together is our integrity. The Maintainer legacy is far greater than just one person. I know that Shelley Morris will be a great leader for Maintainer. He already is.”

Morris joined the company in 2005 and has been responsible for leading manufacturing operations, plant expansions, sales and marketing efforts, and building a strong management team. Morris has been in the General Manager role for the past six years. As President, he will focus on expanding and growing the business. Maintainer will continue to expand its product base and add new
channels of distribution. He will also focus on creating the capacity to respond to the increased demand for Maintainer’s products.

Morris had great praise for Michels, saying, “Denny has been an outstanding mentor. The principles and values that have guided this organization under his leadership are instilled in me. The importance of quality, customer service, safety, and always doing the right thing won’t change. I am excited about Maintainer’s future.”
