Man Arrested In Connection With Drugs At Casino

Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Sioux Falls man has been arrested on a warrant for drug charges in Lyon County, one of them a felony.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that they arrested 25-year-old Jeffery Swenson of Sioux Falls on Friday, July, 29th. Swenson was arrested on active arrest warrants from an investigation on June 30, 2016. On that date, Lyon County deputies assisted in an investigation at the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort with a casino DCI agent and South Dakota law enforcement officers in regards to illegal narcotics activity possibly in a motel room. During the course of the investigation, several subjects were identified along with vehicles involved. Lyon County K-9’s were utilized and alerted on two vehicles involved.

Swenson was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor; Possession with Intent to Deliver, a Class D Felony; and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, both serious misdemeanors.
