Man Injured In Snowmobile Crash

accident wordHartley, Iowa — A 35-year old Everly man was injured when he crashed his snowmobile while riding through a field near Hartley last (Wednesday) night.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, David Randall of Everly was riding his snowmobile eastbound in a field.  Troopers say the snowmobile went airborne off a snowdrift, and nose-dived upon landing, rolling multiple times before coming to rest on it’s left side.  According to authorities Randall was ejected from the snowmobile, which then landed on top of him.

Troopers say Randall was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Randall was transported to the Spencer Municipal Hospital by Hartley Ambulance.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Hartley Ambulance and deputies from the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.
