Sheldon, Iowa — High school marching bands from throughout northwest Iowa will be in Sheldon tomorrow (Saturday, October 8th) to take part in the 2016 Iowa High School Music Association Northwest Iowa Marching Band Festival, which will be held at Orab Field.
Sheldon High School Band Director Cliff St. Clair tells us about that contest.
St. Clair says the day starts at 9 am, with the Class 1-A band competition.
If you’d like to come out and watch, St. Clair says tickets will be available at the gate Saturday.
Several of the bands, including the Marching Orabs, will have a very busy Saturday. Once they finish with the festival at Sheldon, they’ll hop on their individual buses, and hustle down Highway 60 to Orange City.
The Northwest Iowa Marching Band Festival begins Saturday morning at 9 at Orab Field in Sheldon.
