Sheldon, Iowa — A familiar face in Sheldon has decided to give up her very visible position. The Sheldon Chamber will soon have a new director. Shanelle Matus has decided to resign her position. According to Matus, she’s been the director of the Sheldon Chamber part of the SCDC for almost ten years, since 2003.

She says her family is going to stay in town.

Here’s how SCDC Executive Director Mark Gaul feels about Matus’s resignation.

Gaul tells us about the process and the timeline for hiring a new Sheldon Chamber Director.

Matus says her last day is April 10th, which gives her a chance to help with the Easter Egg Hunts late this month and the Ladies Day Out on April 4th before she gives up her post.
