I look each way a minimum of 3 times before I proceed through it. Once a few years ago, I proceeded to pull out and a passenger warned me to watch out. I for some reason did not look more than once and almost got broadsided. Never again. Even when someone is behind me and I look like an idiot checking both ways 3 times to them. Better safe and get honked at than proceed through and get hit.
