Meteorologist: More Spring Weather On The Way

Northwest Iowa — What a difference a week makes. It looks as though spring has finally sprung for good here in northwest Iowa.

Forecast highs for the remainder of this week are predicted to be in the 60’s, with 70’s forecast for Sunday. Mike Gillispie is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, and we told him how much more people were liking the forecast for this week over the ones for previous weeks.

Gillispie says the forecast should be very pleasant looking ahead.

We asked Gillispie if he was going to take credit for the springlike weather, since he was doubtless the target of blame for the extended winter season.

Typical temperatures for northwest Iowa for late April include high temperatures in the middle 60’s, with lows around 40-degrees.
