Northwest Iowa — Mother Nature has been having her way with us here in northwest Iowa, with a pair of blizzards that have hit in the past two weeks, and this weekend is forecast to be bringing us another round of unpleasant winter weather.
We talked with National Weather Service Meteorologist Todd Heitkamp Friday, and he tells us that more snow, strong winds, and cold weather are on the way this weekend.
He says there are a couple of differences between the blizzard we saw earlier this week, and the weather that’s headed our way this weekend.
Heitkamp says that whether you call it a blizzard or not, this weekend’s weather will be nothing to scoff at.
The forecast calls for bitterly cold wind chills throughout the weekend, with a few inches of snow expected Saturday night into Sunday.
