Sheldon, Iowa — A musical treat awaits on Thursday night. The Hegg Brothers are coming to Sheldon for their fourth appearance, courtesy of the Northwest Iowa Health Center Foundation — the charitable foundation for Sanford Sheldon Hospital. It’s Holiday Jam with the Hegg Brothers. The concert features the talents of a ten-piece band playing Christmas Classics and contemporary new arrangements in what they call their signature lush, rhythmic and funky sounds.
We had a chance to visit with Jon Heeg, and he tells us about their style. He says they’ve got something for everyone.
Hegg says one of the things they like to do is take age-old music down a fresh new path.
The band has been in Luverne, MN already this year, and after Sheldon, they’ll go to Rapid City, Brandon, Harrisburg, and Mitchell. On December 12, they’ll be at the Grand Falls Casino near Larchwood. Then it’s on to Brookings and Madison, and they’ll wrap up with two performances in Sioux Falls, one at the Pavilion, and one at the Orpheum on the 15th and 16th.
The Sheldon performance will be Thursday night, the 6th, at the Sheldon Community High School Auditorium. For ticket information you can call Shawn Dreesen at Sanford Sheldon at 712-324-6022 or visit www.sanfordsheldon.org.
