NCC To Offer “Summer Career Camps”

Sheldon, Iowa — Northwest Iowa Community College has scheduled a series of four “Summer Camps” for this summer, designed to expose area students to some of the career options available.

Tracy Gorter of NCC says the idea of the camps came from a discovery that many young people have difficulty choosing a career.

She says the first camp of the season will be held June 15th from 8 to noon, and will be a CSI Camp.

The second camp will be held for three consecutive mornings, June 19, 20, and 21, from 8 to noon each day.  The second camp will be a Drone Camp, but Gorter says you don’t need to have your own drone to sign up for this camp.

She says the third camp, Career On Wheels Camp is scheduled for June 27th.

Gorter says the final camp of the summer will be Health Science Camp, and will be held July 1st.

For more information, or to register for any of these NCC Summer Camps, Gorter says you can visit the NCC website, or you can call her at 712-324-5066, ext. 630, or email tgorter@nwicc.edu.
