New Computer Business In Sheldon Celebrates With Ribbon Cutting

Date posted - March 18, 2013

superht-indoorSheldon, Iowa — Another new Sheldon business celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Friday (3/15). The name is sort of a play on words. Super Highway Technologies is the full name of the new business. That name brings to mind the “information superhighway”, also known as the Internet. Plus, they’re right on the highway — Highway 18 that is. The shortened form of the business name is “Super Hi Tech”, which brings to mind the cutting edge of technology.

Sheldon businesspeople, dignitaries, and the public met on Friday morning to welcome the new business.

City Manager Scott Wynja welcomed the new business on behalf of the City of Sheldon.

Sheldon Chamber and Development President Blake Beahler spoke on behalf of the SCDC.superht-building

KIWA’s Tom Traughber spoke on behalf of the Sheldon Ambassadors.

The owners of the new store are KIWA’s Wayne Barahona and Jon Hellinga. Barahona thanked those present and says he’s excited for the future of their new venture.

Hellinga gives us an idea of what services they’ll be providing.

Super Hi Tech is located at the corner of Washington Avenue and Highway 18, across the street west of the Highway 18 Casey’s.
