New Jailer Hired To Replace Bracy

O'Brien JailPrimghar, Iowa — A new O’Brien County jailer has been hired to replace one who resigned to take a position as a sheriff’s deputy.

According to O’Brien County Chief Deputy Sheriff Bruce Devereaux, the county hired Joshua Zigrang as a full-time Jail Officer. He says Zigrang is from the Minneapolis area, and has studied law enforcement.

Zigrang replaces former jailer Dan Bracy, who had served as a jail officer for the last seven years.

As a deputy, Bracy replaces former deputy Zach Larsen who resigned to become chief deputy in Clay County.

Bracy began his new position Monday, April 10th. Zigrang will begin his new position on May 15th.
