New Sheldon School Superintendent Getting Settled In

Sheldon, Iowa — The new Superintendent of the Sheldon Community Schools is Cory Myer, who came to Sheldon from serving as Superintendent of the North Iowa School District.

Myer began his duties in Sheldon on July 1st, and he says he’s spent most of his time since then settling into the job, and building relationships.

Mr. Myer attended his first School Board meeting this week, and he has good things to say about the Sheldon School Board.

While Myer began his duties in Sheldon July 1st, his family has been living in Sheldon for the past few weeks. He says their transition into the community has been a wonderful experience.

Myer told KIWA he’s in awe of all the different opportunities provided to Sheldon students and the community.

Myer took over the reins as Sheldon Superintendent following the departure of former Superintendent Robin Spears, who retired at the end of June.

Mr. Myer shares his vision for education in a video he shared with KIWA. You can view that video below………….
