Nine Thousand Dollars In Jewelry Reported Stolen In Rural Ireton Burglary

magnifying glass_sxcIreton, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is looking for anyone who may have information about a home burglary, in which several thousand dollars in jewelry was stolen over the weekend.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated the burglary report at a home on Dogwood Avenue, five miles northwest of Ireton.

They report that the crime likely took place between 12:30 PM and 10:30 PM on Saturday, January 26.

Upon further investigation deputies discovered that someone entered the home through an unlocked door while no one was home. Once inside the residence they stole two pairs of diamond earrings and two diamond rings from a jewelry box. The jewelry is valued at an estimated $9,000.
