Northwest Iowa Ag Outlook Is Tuesday

corn fieldSpencer, Iowa — The 32nd Annual Northwest Iowa Ag Outlook will take place Tuesday, February 16th at the Clay County Regional Event Center in Spencer.  The day-long seminar and trade show is held each February, and is geared towards farmers and agri-business professionals to give them the knowledge they need to compete in global agriculture. The trade show features the latest in agriculture products, equipment and services. The event is free and attracts nearly 2,000 each year.

Becky Fear-Hatting is the coordinator of the Ag Outlook, and tells us more.

The doors for this year’s Ag Outloook will open Tuesday morning at 8:00.

She says FFA recognition will include a plaque and a monetary donation to the FFA Chapters.  Then, at 12:30, Spirit Lake farmer and Iowa Agriculture Secretary Bill Northey will speak.

At 2:30 Tuesday afternoon Jerry Carroll, a farmer, comedian and host of TV’s “Amazing America” will perform.

In addition to the speakers at the Ag Outlook, there will be prize drawings throughout the day.

She says the Northwest Iowa Ag Outlook will also feature a large trade show.

Tuesday’s Northwest Iowa Ag Expo runs from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Clay County Regional Event Center in Spencer.
