County party leaders advise that the purpose of the Republican Caucus is to elect representatives to the County Central Committee; elect delegates to the County Convention scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2014; and allow the participants at the caucuses to have input in forming the Sioux County Republican Party Platform which will then have input in forming the State of Iowa Republican Party Platform.
The Republican 2014 caucus is open for anyone to participate as long as they are a resident of the precinct caucus they are attending and will be 18 years of age on November 4, 2014. All persons attending the caucus must be registered Republicans or may register the day of the caucus. Registered voters may change their party affiliation at the caucus to participate in the Republican Caucus. Caucus-goers are asked to arrive early as all participants need to either sign in or register prior to the caucus start.
Sioux County Republican leaders are encouraging all to attend to make a positive difference in their communities, their state and their country.
