November Accident Involving Antique Car Near Arnolds Park Turns Fatal

Sioux Falls, SD — A November accident near Arnolds Park involving an antique car has turned fatal, after the victim died at a Sioux Falls hospital.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office reports that 68-year-old Larry Ross of Arnolds Park died December 5 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Ross had sustained injuries in the accident on November 19 at approximately 9:44 AM. Ross was driving a 1936 Ford eastbound on 190th Street about six miles east of Arnolds Park. Ross’s vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times.

He was ejected from the vehicle and sustained incapacitating injuries. Ross was transported by ambulance to Lakes Regional Hospital and then flown to Avera-McKennan in Sioux Falls.

Damage to the 1936 Ford was estimated at $10,000.

Lakes Regional Hospital Ambulance, Terril Ambulance, the Terril Fire Department, Superior First Responders, and Dickinson County Emergency Management assisted the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
