O’Brien County Controlled Substance Arrests

O'Brien Sheriff 71-6Calumet, Iowa — Two people have been arrested at a Calumet home, and face drug paraphernalia charges.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Great Lakes Task Force report that they made the controlled substance arrests on Tuesday (10/15/13).

O’Brien County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a search at 210 West Second Street in Calumet. As a result of the search, deputies arrested 29-year-old Aaron Smith and 21-year-old Jaimee Burgett. They were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Both Smith and Burgett were booked into the O’Brien County Jail and have appeared before Magistrate Jeff Queck.  Smith and Burgett have both pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.
