O’Brien County Public Health Introduces Health Maintenance Program

nurseO’Brien County, Iowa — O’Brien County Public Health has announced the start of a new program for O’Brien County residents.

The Health Maintenance Program is designed to help residents stay in their homes, while preventing hospitalization or nursing home placement.

Kacy Jungers is a nurse with O’Brien County Public Health, and she tells us how the program works.

The program is available to residents of O’Brien County, and is not limited to senior citizens.  There is a charge for this program, but Jungers says it’s billed according to a sliding scale.

She says there are some things about the program that it’s important for you to know.

Jungers says that a referral and an initial home visit can be arranged by calling O’Brien County Public Health at 712-957-0105.
