O’Brien County Relay For Life Is Next Tuesday, June 11th

O’Brien County Relay for Life will be held Tuesday, June 11th at the Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center on the campus of Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

Cindy Runger is one of the organizers of the O’Brien County Relay for Life, and she tells us how the evening will start.

She says the Opening Ceremony will take place at 6:30 Tuesday evening.

Runger says the Survivor’s Lap will begin at 7:00.

The Luminaria Ceremony, which is a time to remember those who have lost their battle with cancer, as well as those for whom the battle continues, and those who have beaten the deadly disease is set for 8:30, according to Runger.

She tells us how to get more information about the event.

Runger says all residents of O’Brien County are encouraged to attend the O’Brien County Relay for Life, Tuesday June11th at the LLRC at Northwest Iowa Community College.

Relay for Life is a fundraiser in support of the American Cancer Society and their efforts to find a cure for cancer, as well as provide support and encouragement for those battling the disease.
