O’Brien Sheriff Allen Schuknecht Kicks Off Police Week On KIWA Morning Show

O’Brien County, Iowa — This is National Police Week, and to kick it off, O’Brien County Sheriff Allen Schuknecht was a special guest on Monday morning’s KIWA Morning Show with Wayne and Aaron.

Schuknecht says he has worked for the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office since 1976, when he started as a patrol deputy. He admitted, however, that being the Sheriff is a little bit different than he thought it would be.

Sheriff Schuknecht explained how the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office is set up.

In addition, the Sheriff talked about the Communications Center operation.

Schuknecht says that between deputies, jailer, cooks, dispatchers, and an Administrative Assistant, the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office employs a total of 32 people.

To O’Brien County Sheriff Allen Schuknecht, and all of our area law enforcement officers, thank you for all you do to keep our communities safe.
