Ocheyedan, Iowa — It’s time for the annual Days Of Olde in Ocheyedan.
The fun gets underway at 5 p.m. on Friday with a Canoe Fun Float at the at the Sandpit. Then it’s the “Tour de Mound — a bike ride starting at the CFE south parking lot, with registration starting at 6:15 p.m. There’s a kids’ movie at the city park at 9. That’s also the time that karaoke begins at the Corner Club.
Saturday is the big day with the 5K Walk and Run registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. and the race starting at 8:00 a.m. at the city park. Registration for the parade begins at 9, with the parade at 10:30. Starting at 10 will be the Home of the Mound Wine & Arts Festival at City Park. The Antique Tractor Pull begins at noon on North Main Street. The Kids’ Pedal Pull will be at the Tennis Courts after the parade.
The Tracy House Museum will be open on North Main Street from after the parade until 4 p.m. Kids’ Inflatables are available in the city park from 1-4 p.m. The Co-Ed Slowpitch Ball Tournament will be played on the School Diamonds, starting at 1.
The Northwest Tractor Pullers & Central Plains Truck Pullers will start at 6:00 p.m. The Street Dance will be on the south side of Corner Club, with music by Nectorines from 9 to 1.
Sunday’s activities include an Antique Tractor Ride and a Silver Dollar Trap Shoot, both at 9; the Ocheyedan Community Town Hall Revival Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. and a Bean Bag Tournament in City Park, starting at 2.
