Ocheyedan Man Sentenced To Up To 15 Years In Prison On Kidnapping, Domestic Abuse

Osceola County Attorney Robert Hansen reports that on September 5, 2013, 40-year-old Troy Harris of Ocheyedan was sentenced in Osceola County District Court for the crimes of Kidnapping in the Third Degree, a Class “C” Felony and Domestic Abuse, Third or Subsequent Offense, a Class “D” Felony.
Harris was sentenced to five to ten years on the kidnapping charge and five years on the Domestic Abuse Charge. The court ordered that the sentences be imposed consecutively.
The charges stem from a 9-1-1 call that the victim made on May 19, 2013. Harris was arrested when Osceola County deputies found the victim being held against her will and suffering from a broken arm.
