Ocheyedan, Iowa — Another northwest Iowa community is celebrating their 125th birthday. The Ocheyedan quasquicentennial starts on Friday in the Osceola County community, and it’s in conjunction with the town’s annual Days of Olde celebration.
We talked to one of the people who’s helping put the festivities together — Greg Atherton. He tells us about Friday night’s activities.
The kiddie parade starts at 6 p.m. at the CRC parking lot. The tractor pull starts at 6:30 p.m. on North Main Street.
Atherton says Saturday’s Ocheyedan 125th Anniversary schedule starts with the 5K Walk/Run. Registration for that begins at 7:30, with the start at 8. He gives us some activity highlights.
He says there are some great opportunities on Sunday too.
That’s all for the 125th Anniversary of the town of Ocheyedan this weekend. For more info check them out on Facebook. Look for “Ocheyedan’s 125th Celebration 2016.”
