Old Hy-Vee Building Sold

Date posted - January 2, 2013

Old Hy-VeeAn empty business building along Highway 18 in Sheldon won’t be empty much longer. The former location of the Hy-Vee Food Store has been purchased by Pro Cellular, the AT&T Agent currently located in the Old 60 Strip Mall in north Sheldon.

Kent Johansen owns Pro Cellular, and says his company intends to develop the building as a retail center.

Johansen says that from the first time he visited Sheldon he was very impressed with the community.

He says that Poppema-Sikma Construction will be the General Contractor for the remodel project, and will begin work within a couple of weeks, with a goal of moving the AT&T store, the first business to locate there, into the new location by mid to late spring, 2013.
