Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley resident and an Inwood resident were injured in an accident on Thursday (7/26) near Rock Valley.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that about 7:15 AM, 24-year-old Nathan Jansma of Rock Valley was eastbound on 270th Street — the county line between Lyon and Sioux Counties, about halfway between Inwood and Rock Valley — in a 2000 Chevy Truck. Forty-two-year-old Jamie Van Beek of Inwood was northbound on Dogwood Avenue in a 2002 Chrysler minivan.

The vehicles met in the intersection and the Jansma truck struck the Van Beek minivan in the driver’s door. The minivan then entered the north ditch and rolled.

Both Van Beek and Jansma were transported to Heeg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley by ambulance.
