Orab Musicians Fare Well At IHSMA Solo/Small Ensemble Festival

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon High School Band Director Cliff St. Clair says he has received the ratings for Sheldon musicians who took part in the Iowa High School Music Association Solo/Small Ensemble  Festival this past weekend.

St. Clair says the Orab musicians and groups who received a Division I (Superior) Rating were:
Karly Honkomp, Samantha Madsen, Nicole Meyer – Flute Ensemble
Madeline Gude, Madeline Oostra, Jenna Sample – Clarinet Ensemble
Kacy Kamphoff, Carter Kraft, Sam Maggert, McKenzie Wagner – Saxophone Ensemble
Caroline Badberg, Kellen DeKok, Eric Heibult, Andrew Klaassen, Olivia Lidiak, Lexie Merley, Anessa Schoo, Jon Sterk – Brass Choir
Caroline Badberg, Marshall Kleinhesselink, James Naves, Cheyenne Palmer – Tuba Quartet
Jesse Hickman, Simon Maggert, Brian Nilles, Carter Nissen, Jacob Tutje, Hannah Van Meeteren – Percussion Ensemble
Kellen DeKok – Horn in F Solo
Madeline Gude – Clarinet Solo
Brian Nilles – Marimba Solo
Darshan Patel – Trombone Solo

In addition, St. Clair says the following Musicians and groups received a Division II (Excellent) Rating:

The Iowa High School Music Association Solo/Small Ensemble Festival was held this past weekend at West Lyon High School.
