Orange City, Iowa — Orange City firefighters answered a fire call in a field near the intersection of 430th Street and Indian Avenue Thursday morning around 10:15.
Orange City Fire Chief Denny Vander Wel says the call, which originally was paged as a vehicle on fire in a field, turned out to be a small brush fire. Vander Wel says the blaze was extinguished in short order.
Vander Wel says his department was on scene for about 30 minutes.
