Orange City Man Arrested After Disturbance In Hull

Hand Cuffs sxcHull, Iowa — An Orange City man has been arrested after a disturbance on Wednesday afternoon in Hull.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says in the three o’clock hour they received the report of the disturbance at the Cenex Convenience store on Black Forest Road in Hull.

Responding deputies found that a man reportedly had been in the store making inappropriate comments and obscene gestures directed at employees and other customers. Following the disturbance he left the store on foot.

Deputies located the suspect walking on Fourth Street in Hull. They were able to identify him from a surveillance
video the store provided. He was identified as 49-year-old Ryan Betcke of Orange City. Betcke was arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
