Orange City Pair Arrested On Drug Charges

Sheriff car rear genericOrange City, Iowa — A pair of Orange City residents were arrested on drug charges on Tuesday (3/5).

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that they carried out a search warrant at 905 Highway 10 West, Lot B, in Orange City on Tuesday.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the residents were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Twenty-seven-year-old David Miedema of Orange City was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia. Twenty-four-year-old Alyssa McConnel of Orange City was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 15-month-old child present was not injured.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Orange City Police Department.

    what’s worse, getting caught as adults or the poor children not knowing any better? maybe this is all part of Obamas eco 101. do what you gotta do to survive.

      i think that these people are good people. i think the community is to blame. i think if people were more willing to help people like this in our communities and quit being so judgmental then people wouldn’t go about things the wrong way. plus marijuana is legal in how many states already don’t we have bigger and better things to worry about
