Orange City Physical Therapy To Join Orange City Area Health System

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City provider of physical therapy services is going to be joining the Orange City Area Health System.

Orange City Physical Therapy will soon be part of the Orange City Area Health System, says Orange City Area Health System CEO, Marty Guthmiller.

Guthmiller says Orange City Physical Therapy offers a full range of physical therapy services.

He says the downtown location of Orange City Physical Therapy will not change.

He says no personnel changes are anticipated except that employees of the hospital’s physical therapy department and Orange City Physical Therapy may spend time at both locations.

Guthmiller says that while Sanford Health has many different types of agreements with medical facilities in northwest Iowa, their agreement with Orange City Area Health System is what’s called a “management agreement”. He says that gives the Orange City facility purchasing power and access to Sanford’s computer platform. He says other than that, all decisions, including the decision to enter into the purchase agreement with Orange City Physical Therapy, are made locally through an elected governing board and their staff.
