Orange City Woman Arrested On Drug Charges

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City woman has been arrested on drug charges.

On Saturday, (10/20) at 10:00 PM, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a suspicious person and vehicle at the Sinclair Fuel storage parking area at the intersection of 470th Street and Jackson Avenue, one mile south of Orange City.

Upon further investigation, deputies located Jean Blair, age 49, of Orange City in her vehicle at that location. Through the investigation deputies determined that Blair was operating her vehicle while she was under the influence of drugs and found drug paraphernalia in her possession.

Blair was arrested for operating while intoxicated‐drugged, a serious misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Orange City Police Department and the Orange City Ambulance. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office Drug Recognition Expert also assisted with the investigation.
